Nasi Lemak Special















Bahan-bahan ingredients

  • (Sambal) untuk 5-6 orang 

12 ulas bawang merah (dikisar)/12 cloves of spanish onions(blend)
2 ulas bawang putih (dikisar)/2 cloves of garlic(blend)
8-10 sudu besar cili kisar/8-10 big spoon of chilli paste(blend)
2 cawan air/2 cup water
1 keping gula Melaka/a piece of brown sugar
Sedikit belacan/a piece of belacan
Sedikit asam jawa/a piece of tamarind
Sedikit ikan bilis (dikisar)/ some of anchovies(blend)
Garam dan gula secukup rasa/sufficient amount of salt ang sugar
Minyak masak/cooking oil



  • (Nasi)/rice

3 cawan beras/3 cup of rice
2 cawan santan pekat/2 cup of coconut milk
3 cawan air/3 cup of water
3-4 hirisan halia/3-4 slices of ginger
2-3 helai daun pandan/2-3 pandan leaves
Sedikit garam/ a pinch of salt


Cara-cara :
  1. Untuk sambal, masukkan 2-4 sudu minyak masak ke dalam kuali. Tumis bawang besar dan bawang putih sehingga sedikit garing.
  2. Masukkan cili kisar dan kacau sekata. Tumis selama 5-10 minit.
  3. Masukkan air, gula Melaka, belacan, asam jawa dan ikan bilis. Masak sehingga pekat (30-60 minit).
  4. Masukkan garam dan gula secukup rasa.
  5. Untuk nasi, cuci beras beberapa kali. Masukkan santan, air, garam, halia dan daun pandan yang disimpul. Masak dalam periuk yang bertutup di atas api kecil sehingga masak. Boleh juga kalau nak guna rice cooker.
  6. Boleh dihidangkan dengan telur rebus, ikan bilis goreng dan timun.

Methods :

1. For the sauce, add 2-4 tablespoons of cooking oil into the pan. Saute onion and garlic until slightly golden.
2. Add in chili paste and stir evenly. Saute for 5-10 minutes.
3. Add the water, sugar, shrimp paste, tamarind and anchovies. Cook until thickened (30-60 minutes).
4. Add salt and sugar to taste.
5. For rice, wash the rice several times. Add coconut milk, water, salt, ginger and pandan leaves disimpul. Cook in a covered pot over low heat until cooked. Can also use a rice cooker if you want.
6. Can be served with boiled eggs, fried anchovies and cucumber.
